"My parents kept me from children who were rough" by Stephen Spender

My p arnts kept me from children who were hard-boiled is a song I baffle recently been reading. It is compose by Stephen spender. It is some a son who longs to be billet of a host of children who he looks up to. I conceptualize the poet is writing ab f ar aside himself because he uses a lot of lyric poem analogous my, me and I. In the commencement solemnity paragraph the poet introduces approximately of the things they do. The poet writes some them throwing Words the similars of St stars. He also writes salutary-nigh how they full-dress and take off their clothes. The children put out rags and torn clothes. Their skin shows through. This gives the view that the children turn in a reckless nature. The here and now verse tells the reviewer more or less what the male childs do to the boy himself. The boy shows his fear of them by precept I feared more than tigers their muscles same(p) iron. He says they act play of him. At the end he writes about what the boys do in the community, like jump out from merchant ship hedges and about how he wants to be part of their assembly in time they never grin at him. The writer uses many types of reference such as metaphors, similes, initial rhyme and onomatopoeia. An example of metaphors is when the poet says I feared the salinity course pointing. This is impelling at showing how painful it is macrocosm made fun of. I regard this is a beneficial means of describing this as it explains the item well. Sometimes the poet uses stop rhyme. All the all(a)iteration is in the first verse with lines like Their thighs showed through rags. This is repetition of the Th sound. I dont real like this alliteration in this because I dont study its very effective, it doesnt really budge any views or images the contri barelyor may have. in that situation are quite a few similes throughout the poem, e.g. Who threw lecture like stones This is a very good description of the mood the boys insult others. Sometimes beingness insulted by these boys is almost as bad as having stones impel at him. This is effective because is captures the referees anxiousness as it is right at the start of the poem and makes it realize the victim is suffering. Finally the poet uses onomatopoeia. This is use in the 2nd and 3rd verses. Jerking hands is one of them. Jerking when said out loud actually sounds like the quick movement of a jerking action.

I calculate this is effective because it helps paint a picture in the readers head of the boy jerking to a lower place the boys knees; of the violence involved when they beset him. In this poem there are a few atrocious roots, one of them being blusterous. This is the historic piece and is written about well. The poet successfully manages to tell the reader about him being a child. It is obvious one of the themes is push around because the poet writes about him being bullied all the way through the poem. Another main, loaded theme is fear. The boy is stimulate of what the boys aptitude do to him and what thy business leader say. Fear isnt as freehanded a part as bullying but they go to imparther well. Another theme that may be include is loneliness and isolation. Overall I think the poet tries to tell the reader that the boy was scared of what the boys do to him but he desperately wanted to be part of their group because the idea of being qualified to do anything that you want mustiness be an exciting legal opinion for the boy. I thought this poem was ok, it had a good theme and was well written. The poet used good, varied sprint as well.
